Overview
Xidie it's a complete security suite. Except specific tools like secure archives,
steganogrpahy archives and Shredder, Xidie also offer a series of tools who are related
with the purpose of this application.
Folder backup
This tool allow user to easy create and maintain a copy of sensitive or important
information from a folder. In order to synchronize the content of two folders you must
select source and destination folder and to check or uncheck the options.

CD-Burner
This utility allows you to copy files and folders to a CD. Insert a blank, writable CD
into the CD recorder. Click Add files to add the files you want to copy to the CD. To
select more than one file, hold down the CTRL key while you click the files you want.
Click Add folder to add an entire folder to the CD. Press Burn to record the CD. After you
copy files or folders to the CD, it is useful to view the CD to verify that the files were
copied. Do not copy more files to the CD than it will hold. Standard CD hold up to 650
megabytes (MB). High-capacity CDs hold up to 850 MB. Be sure that you have enough disk
space on your hard disk to store the temporary files that are created during the CD
writing process. For a standard CD, Windows reserves up to 700 MB of the available free
space. For a high-capacity CD, Windows reserves up to 1 gigabyte (GB) of the available
free space.
Batch scripts Another new option on Xidie represents Batch scripts (extension .bat).
With batch files, which are also called batch programs or scripts, you can simplify
routine or repetitive tasks. The available script on this module is "Write to
CD files" (need to select the files you want to add to your compilation). When will
save the script, user will be asked about how to save the script "If you want to see
CD recorder interface when you run this job press YES otherwise press NO button!".
When will run the script if the user selected YES then he need to press Burn to CD button
in order to burn the CD, otherwise the burning process will start automatically. The main
purpose for batch scripts is automatically backups of your data but many others could be
added. After you create a batch file with Xidie you could use Scheduled Tasks from
Microsoft Windows to run it at a time that is most convenient for you. Scheduled Tasks is
a service that starts each time you start Windows XP and runs in the background.

FTP Transfer
FTP by definitions it means "File Transfer Protocol" and is a member of the
TCP/IP suite of protocols, used to copy files between two computers on the Internet. Both
computers must support their respective FTP roles: one must be an FTP client and the other
an FTP server. FTP module allows you to transfers files to and from a computer running a
File Transfer Protocol (FTP) server service such as Internet Information Services.

Direct mail
Direct mail use Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), a member of the TCP/IP suite of
protocols that governs the exchange of electronic mail between message transfer agents. In
order to use Direct mail you must have installed a SMTP server in your system. To send an
e-mail, you need your account name, and the name and password of your outgoing e-mail
server. In the To or Cc boxes, type the e-mail name of each recipient, separating names
with a comma or a semicolon ";". In the Subject box, type a message title. Type
your message, add attachments and then click Send.

HTTP transfers
HTTP means Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) and is the protocol used to transfer
information on the World Wide Web. An HTTP address (one kind of Uniform Resource Locator
[URL]) takes the form: http://www.xidie.ro.

Quick Notepad
Quick Notepad is a basic text editor that you can use to create simple documents. The
most common use for Notepad is to view or edit text (.txt) files. You can save your files
as RTF or txt formats.
