This Award, free of charge, is issued to all those who will prove at least 3 contacts with YR0HQ, during the IARU WORLD WIDE CHAMPIONSHIP 2006.
For 6, 9 or 12 contacts, the AWARD could be printed for different classes (3RD, 2ND, 1ST OR EXTRA CLASS), in accordance with number of contacts but, only one single awaed is given.

Work 10 different YO3 stations. ( The "Jubiliar Bucuresti" award is issued for working only 5 different YO3 stations annually between 20 August and 30 October as during this period, there are various activities celebrating the national day of Romania. Application for this special version of the award must be mailed before 31 Dec of the same year.) All YO3 stations located in Bucharest City use the YO3 prefix.

YO - Chess Mate (YO-CM)

Work 64 stations as follows: On the first horizontal row of a chess board you will fill in, list the call signs of 8 different YO stations you have worked.

On each corresponding vertical row, fill in the call signs of other 7 foreign or YO stations whose suffixes, (i.e., the last 2 or 3 letters) will include at least one similar letter, and always the same, from the suffix of the first listed YO.

For example, if the first listed YO station is YO3JP, on the following 7 vertical squares, you may list: YO3AA J JA1B J A DL1C J YO3 J W I1S J SP5J J W8AC J. (The letter "J" was the key of this series.

If each of the first YO call sign listed on the first horizontal rows belongs to YO DX Club members, you will get a special award called: "YO - CM MASTER". In this case, you may use the same YO DXC station several times if you have worked it on several bands. (88)

YO - Danube River (YO-DR)

Work on two bands, different stations located in countries located on the Danube River. These are W.Germany, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Romania and USSR. Europeans need 3 from each country and 5 YO qso's. All others need 2 from each country and 3 YO qso's. Note: at least 3 qso's must be with stations located in cities located on the Danube.

YO - Double Call (YO-DC)

Issued for working 26 "double" calls using all the letters of the alphabet AA to ZZ respectively, having suffixes such as: AA or AAT, BB or BBZ or ABB, CC or CCR or BCC, etc. European applicants are required to include 4 YO's in their listing, and all other applicants should have at least 2 YO's.

Work YO DX Club members or Honorary members since 23 Aug 1949. Europeans need 5 and all others need 2. The annual YO DX contest is the first weekend of each August.

Stations with a 3 letter suffix need only 3 different stations with identical suffixes: JA1ACD would qualify with UK8ACD, DL4ACD, G5ACD.

Work one station on each of the 5 continents, excepting yours. Each such contact must be on a different amateur band. One continent may be replaced by any YO station.

Cezar Petrescu's Century (Centenar Cezar Petrescu)

Contact 13 ARER members whose any letter of their suffix spells the phrase "CEZAR PETRESCU". You must use YO9KYE for one of the "E's" and one contact from the town of Busteni which has a memorial house for this famous Romanian. Contacts after 1-1-94. May be earned each year.

Natural Reservations of Romania (Rezervatiile Naturale Ale Romaniei)

ECO-Delta of Danube River (ECO-Delta Dunarii)

Earn 10 points by contacting fixed or portable stations in Tulcea county after 1-1-94. Club stations = 2 points, all others = 1.

Blue Danube (Dun~rea Alabastr~)

Make 10 QSO's in countries which the Danube flows through. At least 5 countries are needed and 5 towns which are located near Danube river ports. One ARER member is required. Contacts after 1 May 1994.

Paracelsus - 500

Spell the word "PARACELSUS" from any of the suffixes of 10 stations. At least one must be a YO from Mures (MS) county and one from HB9 - Switzerland. The YO stations must be ARER members. Contacts after 1 May 1994.

The Men of Science From Romania (Oameni de Stiintá Romani)

Contact YO's from counties where famous Romanian Men of Science were born, plus one OE1 from Wien/Vienna, Austria. Each of the following counties are needed: AB BZ AG BC BV BT DJ VS IS MH NT, Bucharest and Wien/Vienna, Austria OE1. At least 5 ARER members are required. Contacts after 1 May 1994.

Emil Racovita - 125

Contact 11 ARER members whose any letters of their suffix spells the name "EMIL RACOVITA". They must include Vaslui (VS) and Iasi (IS) counties. Contacts after 1 May 1994.

ECO - Black Sea (ECO - Marea Neagrá)

Contact each of the countries which border the Black Sea (YO, LZ, TA, UB, UA and UF). The YO must be a ARER member from Tulcea (TL) or Constantza (CT) county. Contacts after 1 May 1994.

Robert Koch - 150 (1843-1910)

Contact 10 stations using any letters of their suffix to spell the name "ROBERT KOCH". 6 must be ARER members and one must be a DL - Germany. Contacts after 1 May 1994.

The Century of Society Mining and Iron - Cálan (Centenarul Societatii Miniere Si Siderurgile - Cálan)

Earn 10 points by working YO's in Cálan. ARER members = 2 points, others = 1. Same station may be worked on different bands or modes for added points. Contacts after 1 May 1994.

ECO - Romania

Work all the counties of Romania - using members of ARER.

Award of Latin (Diploma Latinitátii)

Work Latin countries of the world. The YO station must be a member of ARER. Class I - 4 continents and 30 Latin countries.

Class II - 3 continents and 20 Latin countries.

Class III - 2 continents and 10 Latin countries.

Award of Honor - ARER (Diploma De Onoare ARER)

Issued free of charge to any amateur or SWL who has earned any 15 of the 19 awards listed above.


Bacau Award

WRMC Jubiliar

Each year during the period 16-25 December, contact 4, 3, or 2 different YO martyr cities. Fee is 7$ or 15 IRCs.

Note: YO Martyr cities are those Romanian cities where, during the revolution of 16-25 December 1989, many citizens died while fighting for freedom and democracy. These cities are: TIMISOARA, BUCHAREST, BRASOV and SIBIU.
